Our 2’s/Almost 3’s program includes creative lessons that encourage self-expression through music and movement, sensory activities, art, dramatic play, stories, games, and outdoor play. Children learn through their play and by participating in hands-on activities in both small and large groups. They are introduced to letters, numbers, colors, and shapes. Language development, social/emotional skills, and self-help abilities are emphasized.

Hours are from 9:00 to 1:30 p.m. (Exceptional hours are set for 3-day VPK class.) Pickup time is 1:30 p.m., with late pickup charges incurred at 1:35 p.m.

Early Bird Drop Off is at 8:00 a.m. with reservations required.

Julie Begey is the 2's Teacher at Christian Child Center. Julie is originally from Colorado where she lived until she was 13. She then spent 3 1/2 years living on Oahu in Hawaii before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, FL before her senior year of high school. Julie attended the University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Radio and Television. While working at Epcot, she met the love of her life, Dan. They were married at Wekiva Presbyterian Church 21 years ago where they are active members and are raising two daughters. After looking at preschools in the DeBary area where she lives, Julie decided she was willing to make the 20 minute drive to CCC for her two girls because she found nothing that could compare to it. She worked as a substitute for a year and then joined the staff fourteen years ago to teach the Young Toddler class. This year, Julie accepted an opportunity to teach the 2's classes. She loves watching her young students grow and change throughout the year.

Leigh Ann Sellers is the Almost Three's Teacher at Christian Child Center. She is originally from Tennessee (Go Vols!) but has lived in Florida for the past 39 years. Leigh Ann attended Barry University in Miami on a basketball scholarship and graduated with a Biology degree. Eventually, Leigh Ann spent eight years as an 8th grade math teacher in Orange County. She is married and the mother of two wonderful children. Both of her children attended CCC and fell in love with the warm, caring atmosphere. Leigh Ann began to substitute at CCC while her daughter and son were enrolled, and eventually became a Pre-K Assistant. Leigh Ann was a 2's lead teacher for several years and is excited to be the lead teacher with the Almost Three's. She has enjoyed getting to know families and watching children grow and thrive in the same environment where her own children grew up.

Susan Templeton is the 2's Assistant at Christian Child Center. Susan was born in Missouri but moved to Longwood at the age of eight. She attended the University of Central Florida and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management. After graduating, she married her husband, Michael. They have two grown sons, both who attended CCC! Susan enjoys being a part of such an amazing and caring school, and working with little ones again. She looks forward to meeting new families and building strong bonds with all of the 2's students.

Jessica Watkins is the Almost Three's Assistant at Christian Child Center. Jessica grew up in Paducah, Kentucky and moved to Pensacola, Florida when she was fourteen. She attended the University of Florida and earned a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Jessica has lived in the Orlando area since 1995. She was married in 2003 and has twin sixteen-year-old daughters and two dogs. In her free time, Jessica enjoys reading, cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. She began subbing at CCC during the 2023-24 school year and adores all the children and staff. She accepted an assistant position and loves working at the school, providing the very best in early childhood education.
